Join the Senate as a Parliamentary Research Assistant to the Honourable Senator Rosa Galvez

**Open to**:
The general public to staff one (1) determinate or indeterminate full-time position in the Office of the Honourable Senator Rosa Galvez.

**Prerequisites**:

- Successful completion of a university degree in a field related to the position (Engineering/Science etc.) and / or other relevant field of studies combined with experience;
- Extensive experience in legislative or legal research, policy review and drafting reports;
- Extensive and recent experience in writing documents such as briefing notes, reports, statements and speeches;
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with senior officials and/or parliamentarians;
- Extensive experience in using the MS-Office suite;
- Knowledge of communication techniques, methods and practices and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
- Detail-oriented, well organized, and able to coordinate, multi-task and manage competing priorities and timelines;
- Knowledge of parliamentary procedure is considered an asset, as is knowledge of strategic communications, including media and social media;
- English is essential. Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
