**NOTE**:This is a two year, full-time, temporary contract.

**SCOPE**
Reporting to the AVP of Integrated Planning and functionally to the Senior Data Analyst, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the organization obtains and manages the consent of individuals for the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information in compliance with the applicable data protection laws and regulations. They collaborate with the Privacy Officer, data governance bodies and other relevant stakeholders to implement and monitor the data consent policies and procedures.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead workshops and meetings to document the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information across the different IT systems at the University and determine the consent management requirements.
- Provide expert knowledge on the consent management system to the Concordia community and act as the primary resource when issues occur.
- Create, document, and execute procedures for acquiring, documenting, and handling user consents for data usage.
- Collaborate with the IITS Data Architect and system owners to document and track the data flow and usage; analyze system usage to identify instances of non-compliance, such as unauthorized data transfers between systems.
- As a member of the governance subcommittees, coordinate work established for the consent management project; facilitate communication with stakeholders not represented by these groups.
- Create and implement consent policies, guidelines, and standards on behalf of the governance bodies; analyze and execute any follow-ups identified by the governance.
- Collaborate with governance bodies members and IITS to identify avenues of investigation for data integrations that have not been identified. - Collaborate in the analysis of the legacy data warehouse and its compliance with law 25; work with the IITS Data Architect to document violations and recommend remediations.
- Provide training and education to staff on the consent management system as needed.
- Collaborate with change management to analyze the impact of the consent management system on existing business processes and faculty and staff.
- Address and resolve data consent queries and complaints from individuals, regulators, and other parties.
- Conduct research related to best practices in data consent management.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in (Business, Management, Law) or in a field pertinent to primary responsibilities and four to seven years of relevant experience in privacy compliance and data protection.
- Knowledge of data protection laws and regulations
- Familiarity with consent management tools and regulations.
- Very good knowledge (Level 5) of written and spoken English to write policies and guidelines and provide clear explanations to governance bodies. Good knowledge (Level 4) of written and spoken French.
- Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of Microsoft Visio for process mapping.
- Very good knowledge (Advanced level) of Microsoft Excel for data analysis. Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of Word for documentation creation.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills to organize work effectively and set work priorities under time constraints.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to articulate complex issues clearly and able to work autonomously or collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
