**Major Responsibilities**:

- Participates in the review and formulation of policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements. (i.e. such as the 3Rs Ambassador Program).
- Develops and maintains stakeholder and volunteer databases.
- Plans, designs, and delivers volunteer activities. (i.e. Supports the promotion of the 3RsAmbassador Program, conducts site visits, engages multi-residential building staff, supports various volunteer engagements).
- Participates in the recruitment, screening, selection, training and coaching of program volunteers. (i.e. including eligibility screening, training, onboarding and recognition).
- Implements and supports various volunteer program standards, practices and guidelines. (i.e. Organizes documentation regarding all aspects of stakeholder engagement and volunteer program; develops and maintains guidelines for administrative functions for the volunteer program such as on-going recruiting, volunteer selection, deployment, dismissals, reassignment, liaises with volunteers, project teams and project managers; and, helps resolve issues as they emerge).
- Co-ordinates administrative functions to support the volunteer program and stakeholder engagement (i.e. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to plan, organize and run events; and, attends and/or facilitates local outreach events organized by volunteers, community groups, industry associations, business organizations, etc.).
- Liaises with volunteers, clients, vendors, project teams, project managers and senior management and the public (i.e. Provides direct support volunteers, property managers/superintendents and the general public on a daily basis answering questions, providing recommendations and information, managing social media pages, etc.; and, acts as liaison between City staff, volunteers and other stakeholders).
- Consults with divisional staff to develop program messaging and promotional material (i.e. Supports the development of program resources and public education resources in collaboration with other teams and divisions; Supports the management of program resources and its inventory).
- Develops volunteer training curriculum and materials. (e.g. Develops and maintains volunteer training content, training tools, outreach materials, newsletters, etc.).
- Develops program website content information.
- Organizes Divisional volunteer recognition program and events.
- Provides input into budget for program. (i.e. supports the annual operational planning process; provides recommendations on outreach events, tools, literature, etc.).
- Coordinates, leads and evaluates current volunteer programs. Prepares reports and makes recommendations. (i.e. prepares annual reports with lessons learned, summarizing results and recommendations; implements approved recommendations; leads change management efforts as needed).
- Attends and/or facilitates local outreach events, provides support to volunteers and relays current policy/program information/updates.
- Ensures that service delivery meets client's expectations. (i.e. Identifies opportunities to enhance, grow and sustain the 3Rs Ambassador program long-term; relays up-to-date, accurate waste-related information to volunteers on a continual basis; works with volunteers to identify opportunities and solutions).
- Develops partnership with related organizations and internal/external volunteer agencies and programs.

**Key Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in a related discipline (i.e. Social Sciences, Community Development, Sciences, etc.) or a combination of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience participating, facilitating and/or delivering outreach-related initiatives and training to a diverse audience, including experience participating in outreach events in a variety of settings and for diverse audiences.
- Extensive experience working or collaborating with various stakeholders, (i.e. other levels of government, the non-profit sector, community organizations, neighborhood associations, business improvement areas, and/or businesses).
- Experience analyzing, developing, monitoring and administering programs and services for diverse audiences. Having experience in the management of volunteer-based programs would be a strong asset.
