Located on site at our Head Office in Concord, Ontario, we are currently recruiting an experienced hands-on Credit/Accounts Receivable Manager with a proven track record in managing all aspects of the Credit and Accounts Receivable departments within a medium size, entrepreneurial organization.

**Position Summary**: Reporting to the President, the Credit/Accounts Receivable Manager will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of the Credit, Collection, and Accounts Receivable departments.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for credit approval of orders for new and existing accounts; including managing a department of three (3) employees in the Accounts Receivable/Cash Receipts and Collections departments
- Access credit risk; credit terms approval; negotiate terms and payment schedules
- Approve customer orders and coordinate with the distribution center for shipping
- Major accounts reconciliations, research deductions and payment shortages
- Liaise with Sales Managers and Sales Representatives at various locations
- Credit analysis and monthly reporting
- Initiate legal or other recovery actions against customers who are delinquent
- Maintain a strong cash flows through efficient collections
- Ensure timely and effective collection of outstanding debts
- Analyze collection metrics, such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO),
- Manage escalations and resolve high-level disputes
- Monitor bank deposits and credit cards activities and update the Cash Journal
- Liaise with the Credit Insurance company
- Establish and sustain relationships with external and internal customers to ensure efficient communication and resolution of collection-related concerns.
- Ensure that tasks and reporting deliverables for month-end, Quarter end and year-end closing are met
- Provides daily supervision and guidance to the Collections and Accounts Receivable teams
- Manages team performance reviews and mentors team members towards continuous performance improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated work experience as a Credit/Accounts Receivable Manager in a Distribution environment. Bilingual - French a definite asset.
- A degree or diploma in Business or Finance/Accounting is required or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Advance computer - MS Office /Excel skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize/work effectively in a fast pace, high volume, dead line driven environment
- Management experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent negotiations and decision-making skills with high attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- Team player with strong initiative and positive outlook
- Easily adaptable to changing priorities and schedules
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff members
