**Salary**: $23.66 - $29.52/Hour

Working Hours: Part-time as required. Some evening and weekend availability required.

Job Reports To: House Manager

**Key Activities**:

- Under the supervision of the Welcome Centre Coordinator and as part of the Visitor Experience team, the Welcome Centre Attendant greets visitors upon their arrival at the NAC, and responds to their inquiries, including requests for information on events and performances taking place at the National Arts Centre and in the surrounding area. The incumbent helps to establish the Visitor Experience team as the heart and hub of visitor-centric operations at the NAC. Welcome Centre Attendants support of the NAC’s goal of offering exceptional, accessible, welcoming, safe and inclusive visitor experiences to all our guests.
- Greeting visitors bilingually and in a welcoming manner, responding to their inquiries, and assisting them with wayfinding in the building, being aware of mobility needs and being able to accommodate them;
- collaborating with colleagues across departments in support of offering exceptional, accessible, welcoming, safe and inclusive visitor experiences;
- Developing awareness of events at the NAC to support visitor interactions, including among those who may purchase tickets, attend conferences, or wish to know more details about on-site meetings and events.

**Skill Requirements**:

- Fluently bilingual in both official languages;
- High School diploma and a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with the public in a service-oriented organization;
- Previous experience using a multi-line phone system, an asset;
- Proficiency using Microsoft 365 products, including Teams, an asset;
- Excellent initiative and judgment in dealing with the general public in a fast
- paced environment;
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule, when required;
A past record of satisfactory attendance and punctuality is a requirement.
