**Program Coordinator**:

We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Shuswap Nations, Ktunaxa Nations, and Metis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. We acknowledge all Nations who live, work, and play, help us steward this land, and honour and celebrate this place.

**The Opportunity**:
Participant Resources has a broad mandate to develop, implement, and provide essential services to support the non-program related needs that support the well-being, both the mental and physical health of registered arts and leadership program participants all guided by the framework of the Participant Mental Health Strategy.

The Program Coordinator contributes to the development and design of Participant Resources programming and initiatives, as well as provides the logístical, administrative, and operational support for their delivery and evaluation. The incumbent works collaboratively with the Mental Health Strategist, Office Coordinator, and with individuals across many departments on campus to achieve this work.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Director, Program Administration and Participant Services, below are some key accountabilities:
**Mental Health Initiatives**
- Works closely with the Director, the Mental Health Strategist and Human Resources to research and coordinate mental health initiatives.
- Arranges the logistics needed for the effective and efficient delivery of the Participant Resources events, programming and initiatives and is the staff member in attendance when required.
- Works with the Mental Health Strategist on drafting post-program evaluations ensuring feedback is captured as required for grant reporting, continual improvement and relevancy.
- Supports the Director and Mental Health Strategist in writing the campus mental health grant and associated reports.

**Accessibility**
- Coordinates accessibility accommodations for participants and faculty with different physical and mental abilities, illnesses that are chronic, temporary, or recurring, that may inhibit their ability to full participate in their program under Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s legal obligations of Duty to Accommodate.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of administrative processes to facilitate smooth and confidential delivery of accessibility supports.
- In partnership with the participant and other Banff Centre departments, the Program Coordinator develops an accessibility plan, then communicates, and coordinates the provisions of the plan with stakeholders including Food and Beverage, Hospitality, Program Managers and Directors that will assist in realizing these plans, which may include sourcing external supports or resources.
- Compiles statistics, support materials, and prepares the narrative for the annual accessibility grant report.

**Participant Support**
- Acts as a liaison between the Program Directors, Managers, faculty, participants, practicums and the Director and facilitates communication with other Banff Centre departments; practices effective problem-solving methods in order to resolve issues and concerns.
- Is a key point of contact for participants in distress, experiencing personal or programmatic challenges, or requiring medical assistance. Assesses the urgency of their situation and refers them to the most appropriate resources available.

**General**
- With direction from the Director, the Program Coordinator establishes and plans project management frameworks to manage the workflow to ensure effective and balanced initiative delivery within the Arts and Leadership Program Master Plan.
- Compiles statistics and evaluation results for grant and other required reporting on Participant Resources activities.
- Reconciles participant and client accounts for Participant Resources programs and services. Financial responsibilities include drafting simple contracts, issuing and tracking of purchase requisitions, petty cash vouchers, and client accounts management.
- Researches and develops the required information for Participant Resources budgets and project information. Monitors programming and events expenses and reports back to the Director to ensure that budgets are not exceeded.
- Maintains accurate filing/records management systems in alignment with FOIP and other standards and procedures as
