**Position Summary**:
Under the direction of the Director, Donor Relations, the Manager, Annual Giving is directly

responsible for generating revenue via direct response and monthly donations and ensuring

stewardship of these donors. They will also be the lead for the donor database ensuring it is up to

date and have two direct reports on the gift processing team.

In addition to their fundraising responsibilities, they will be the backup for the Director, Donor

Relations and participate in leadership meetings as well as perform administrative duties including

payroll, monthly reporting, and departmental planning. As a member of the management team they

will be required to regularly interact with management, staff, and volunteers across all

departments, as well as external vendors.

This position is privy to confidential financial information surrounding donations, fundraising,

budgets, and donor data. Although this position will require in-person office work most of the time,

there is an opportunity to work from home periodically.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Create an integrated donor response strategy including opportunities for acquisition,

solicitations
- Maintain and inform the annual budget for the direct response and monthly donor programs
- Retain and grow our monthly donor program (Humane Heroes)
- Create an overall communications plan for both monthly and direct response donors
- Identify annual donors for referral to other areas of giving
- Collaborate with the Communications & Marketing team to align and enhance fundraising

campaigns across communication channels and social media assets
- In collaboration with the Events team, create a monthly donor annual recognition event
- Provide campaign reports at weekly Donor Relations meetings as well as for the Donor

Relations monthly report to the Executive team
- Work with the Donor Relations Officer on content for Humane Heroes monthly e-news
- Oversee the training and onboarding of all Donor Relations staff on the donor database
- (Raiser’s Edge/Blackbaud NXT)
- Work with the Gift Processing team to ensure donor data is captured accurately in our

donor database
- Provide backup support to the Gift Processing team by answering telephones, taking phone

donations, and other inquiries
- Research and stay up-to-date regarding fundraising best practices via professional

development
- Fulfills roles as needed during Donor Relations events
- Assists with other duties as assigned
