**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Manager, Outpatient Mental Health, you will be responsible for general office administration, scheduling, correspondence, clinic registration/referrals, processing of patient reports, agenda, minutes, data management, and other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:
- Secondary school graduate or equivalent
- Completion of business/community college secretarial program
- Minimum 1 year previous secretarial experience
- Minimum 1 year previous experience in Outpatient Mental Health
- Minimum 1 year experience working with scheduling in Meditech
- Proficiency in microcomputer skills - Word, Outlook, Excel
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrated experience in preparation and processing of reports, patient progress notes, general correspondence, forms, design, maintenance of patients database and collating charts, booking meetings, preparation and distribution of minutes, inventory and ordering of department's office supplies, mail distribution, filing etc.
- Ability to function effectively in an organized manner, using self-direction to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in public interaction, handling sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy, respecting confidentiality
- Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to SHN's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area
- Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public
- Exposure to Lean principles, an understanding of methodologies and tools and a commitment to the use of these in support of providing the best healthcare experience possible to our patients
- Strong work ethic and commitment is required
- Demonstrated high standards of work outputs
- Highly punctual
- Demonstrated professionalism and reliability
