**About this opportunity**

Are you an experienced regulated health professional with a mental health background and interest in crisis intervention and support for post-secondary students? If so, CBI Workplace Solutions has an excellent opportunity for you to join our Student Success Services team supporting post-secondary students in North Bay. As Triage Navigator, you will be students’ first point of contact to the multidisciplinary team to support students’ learning, mental health and wellness, to ensure the provision of holistic support to students. The position requires a service-focused professional who treats others with respect, values their time, strives for personal best, and collaborates to continuously improve the student experience.

**Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day**
- Ensure students are informed of services and supports both on and off campus
- Foster and develop strong, respectful and mutually beneficial partnerships to facilitate the seamless referral of students between resources and support
- Facilitate workshops, events and group meetings to support special populations of students (e.g., international students and at-risk students) to promote a successful transition to campus and foster positive academic and life experiences
- Complete and review internal intake forms with students for registration
- Document and maintain files while meeting confidentiality and privacy requirements as per PHIPA guidelines
- Assess students’ mental health status and conduct suicide risk assessments
- Engage in solutions-focused conversations with students
- Complete Student Success Profiles to outline academic accommodations
- Communicate with student’s medical professional(s) in order to obtain/complete applicable documentation and provide options for community therapy
- Administrative duties, as required

**What you need to be successful**
- At least 2 years of clinical experience
- Registration in good standing with your profession’s governing Ontario college with preference given to RPN, SSW, MHA, OTA and other mental health-related disciplines
- A degree or post-secondary diploma in a related discipline
- Knowledge of the mental health system and community resources
- Familiarity with a variety of mental health conditions
- An ability to plan/facilitate workshops and speak to large groups of people
- Comfort with collaborating and communicating within an interdisciplinary team
- Knowledge in Indigenous cultures, including attention to mental health and wellness, is a strong asset
- Cultural awareness and needs of the international population
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
