**Your opportunity**:
Recognized globally, the Department of Radiation Oncology trains the next generation of leaders, fosters a culture of innovation, knowledge exchange and translation, and contributes to the Radiation Medicine community, as well as the broader health and public policy systems. As part of this engaged administrative team, you would be facilitating and supporting the advancement of the Radiation Medicine and the delivery of care.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Support the creation, modification and selection of images for use in marketing materials, including the department's annual report and e-newsletters
- Communicate announcements to faculty, residents, students and staff
- Support divisional communications activities by collaborating with departmental leaders and the broader UofT support staff to understand their business priotities, make recommendations, and ensure proper implementation
- Support the development of all digital communications materials for events, conferences and workshops including webpages, videos, social media content, and infographics
- Contribute to the coordination of events by drafting and maintaining event work plans, sourcing vendors, ensuring events timelines and deadlines are adhered toand met
- Contribute to pre-event activities including sending invitations, taking RSVPs, creating and maintaining registration pages, overseeing registration, liaising with event speakers, and preparing speaking notes
- Provide support for follow-up letters from the Chair/Committees and post event administration, including surveys and debriefing
- Provide administrative support by maintaining and updating internal/special distribution lists and preparing agendas and recording minutes for event-organizing committees
**Essential Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum four years of related experience with digital communications and events planning
- Proven experience writing creative and engaging communication pieces including editing, researching, print/design, and reporting
- Proven experience managing social media channels, including building active engagement, maintaining a consistent voice, and expanding reach
- High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite, content management systems and experience with new/emerging media and information technology
- Proven design capabilities and experience with web and graphic design software (InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relations in a decentralized environment
- A self-starter possessing the ability to work independently in a high-profile, time-sensitive environment and deal with competing priorities
