**Employee Resource Generalist - Labor Relations**

Patient Transport Services is a unique and specialized company that prides itself on quality service throughout Manitoba and neighboring provinces. Our people make the difference and currently we have an opening for an Employee Resource Generalist.

- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Human Resources.
- Proven work experience in Human Resources.
- Demonstrated success in handling personnel and system operations.
- Experience in a unionized environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Drive to maintain important operational policies and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
- Exceptional analytic problem solving and decision-making skills.

**Human Resource Responsibilities**:

- Following up with staff to provide coaching and guidance regarding policy infractions.
- Initial assessment/investigation of Incident Reports.
- Following up with coaching on all Incident Reports.
- Working together with management and employees to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations and maintain a good working environment.
- Acting as a resource to management and staff in matters of general HR inquiries as well as in the interpretation of Human Resources policies, the collective bargain agreement, and applicable employment legislation.
- Conducting workplace investigations.
- Leading the conduction of disciplinary meetings.
- Following up with staff to ensure all background checks and licenses meet the required standards.
- Responding to employee inquiries related to company policies.
- Handling confidential information and personnel files
- Facilitating conflict resolution as required.
- Handling confidential information and personnel files.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Human Resource Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of one year of experience working in Human Resources (required). Two to three years of experience is preferred.
- Previous experience with labor relations.
- Experience working in Human Resources role in a unionized environment. (preferred)
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and diffuse difficult situations.
- Ability to manage fluctuating workload coupled with the ability to multitask.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to fluently speak and type in English.
- Have a keen attention to detail.
- Attached resume with cover letter.
- 2 professional references from your most recent two employers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
