The Manager, Transportation Policy is accountable for the identification, research and analysis of current and emerging social and economic development issues and trends that impact the provincial transportation system. The position manages comprehensive processes for the development of policy, legislation and regulations related to road, rail, highway and sustainable transportation initiatives. The manager contributes to the preparation of Cabinet and Treasury Board submissions, OIC’s, RFL’s, briefing materials and other Executive reports.

**Job Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:

- A degree in Social Sciences, Public or Business Administration or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years’ experience conducting policy and legislative research and analysis.
- Experience in the preparation of briefing notes and Treasury Board and Cabinet submissions.
- Experience developing and managing strategic policy initiatives and legislation, preferably related to surface (road) transportation, or corporate transportation-related policy preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing staff.
- Experience in financial and contract management would be an asset.
