**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance major required
- Actively working towards CPA accounting designation preferred
- MIS/OHRS Level 1 preferred

**Skill, Ability and Experience**:

- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and the ability to create financial spreadsheets required
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail required
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with varied interruptions required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate with others and work in a fast-paced team environment required
- Payroll processing experience preferred
- Experience working with AlayaCare preferred
- Experience working with Great Plains preferred
- Three years recent experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on financial analysis preferred
- Strong knowledge of Canadian public sector accounting standards preferred

**Principal Duties**:

- Will work on site at Bluewater Health
- Assist with processing the bi-weekly payroll which includes collating timesheets and travel claim forms
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
- Preparation of annual audit working papers
- Preparation of monthly Accounts Payable manual log and coding invoices for payment
- Preparation of monthly service statistics report
- Reconciliation of AlayaCare subledger with the General Ledger
- Super-user for the accounting software program (Great Plains) and work with vendor to ensure the system is operating efficiently and effectively
- Assist with ministry reporting such as the SRI, Trial Balance submission, and CAPS budget
- Update and maintain spreadsheet for the Retirement Home Subsidy program
- Support on fundraising initiatives
- Other related duties as assigned
