**Le poste** Relevant du Gestionnaire des services à l’enfance et à la jeunesse de Barrie a l’office de Bell Farm, le principal objectif du poste sera d’offrir un soutien aux jeunes indépendants ou qui s’acheminent vers l’indépendance, d’aider les jeunes quant à l’élaboration de leur Programme de soins et de soutien continu pour les jeunes, d’organiser et de mettre en œuvre des activités/programmes pour les jeunes en collaboration avec des partenaires communautaires, d’établir des liens communautaires pendant la recherche d’un logement sécuritaire et stable, des études/de métiers, d’un emploi stable et de possibilités de mentorat dans la collectivité et d’aider les jeunes à déterminer et à trouver les personnes importantes pour leur faciliter l’établissement de relations à vie. Il s’agit d’un poste de l’unité de négociation.

**The Job** Reporting to the Child & Youth Services Barrie Manager in the Bell Farm office, the primary focus of the position will be; to support and assist youth who are currently on or moving towards independence; assisting youth with the development of their Continued Care and Support for Youth (CCSY); the development and implementation of activities/programming for youth in collaboration with community partners; development of community linkages in the development of safe and stable housing, education/trades, stable employment and community mentoring opportunities and supporting youth in identifying and locating individuals of significance to the youth to aid in the development of life-long relationships. This is a Bargaining Unit position with CUPE Local 5319.

**Compétences**
- Un diplôme d’intervenant auprès des enfants et des jeunes/diplôme en travail social d’un collège agréé, ainsi que plusieurs années de travail en bien-être de l’enfance;
- Une capacité prouvée d’utiliser des compétences/stratégies efficaces pour faire participer les jeunes avec différents degrés de subtilité, de motivation et de stabilité émotionnelle;
- Une connaissance approfondie et une bonne compréhension des besoins et des défis des jeunes qui quittent un placement;
- Une bonne connaissance des services/soutiens locaux offerts aux jeunes;
- Des aptitudes interpersonnelles efficaces, y compris la capacité a travailler en collaboration avec les ressources internes et communautaires;
- Une bonne connaissance de l’animation de groupe et une capacité d’animer des groupes;
- De solides compétences en informatique et la capacité de travailler avec les systèmes de réseautage social;
- Une bonne connaissance des pratiques anti-oppression et une capacité de les appliquer;
- Un permis de conduire valide et l’accès à un véhicule;
- Il faut obligatoirement être bilingue (français / anglais); les compétences seront testées.

**Qualifications**
- A Child and Youth Worker Diploma/Social Services Worker Diploma from an accredited College, in combination with several years' child welfare experience.
