**We are looking for an experienced Mobile Crane Operator for various construction projects in the GTA area.**

Sibwest Crane Services is a team of dedicated professionals finding innovative solutions and smarter ways to maneuver your load. We have acquired a fleet of various knuckle boom cranes for a wide range of loading, lifting and moving. Whatever the needs are, the knuckle boom crane can lift anything with computerized precision. Our team is insured, licensed and highly trained to operate these high-tech machines.

**Job Summary**:
As a Mobile Crane Operator, you will safely operate mobile cranes to transfer heavy objects from one location to another using specialized knuckle boom cranes. You will be also responsible for the safety of the machinery, including checking the condition of the ground before setting up the crane, constantly being aware of how much material can be safely hoisted in each load, as well as maintaining cranes by inspecting them for defects or wear, lubricating ropes and winches and replacing worn cables.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Operate specialized machinery such as knuckle boom cranes.
- Calculate load capacity, determining the weight of items and material to be moved in relation to the maximum capacity of the cranes based on manufacturers' specifications.
- Inspect clearances, overhead lines, and any other possible obstructions to ensure there are no accidents or damage to employees, buildings, loads or equipment.
- Inspect and assess ground conditions to ensure that the crane can be set up safely.
- Inspect cranes for defects and wear prior to operation; perform necessary repairs and maintenance
- Comply with Health & Safety policies, load charts, regulations, company safety laws and best practices.
- Maintain logs and records of operation activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**:

- 339 A / 339 C Mobile Crane Operator - Journeyperson level certification would be an asset
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Operator
- High school diploma or equivalent

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records.
- Ability to lift objects up to 70 lbs.
- Excellent depth perception and reaction time.
- Ability to follow hand signals, maintain logs, and inspect and maintain machinery.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Mobile Crane: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Air Brake Endorsement (required)
- 339A/339 C Mobile Crane Ticket (preferred)
