**Strategic Planning Supervisor**
Strategic Planning Supervisor will provide management, oversight, and status reporting of established Strategic Initiatives (SI). The position will work closely with SI sponsors and contributors throughout the execution of the initiatives to maintain agreed-upon priorities and objectives. With this end-to-end business exposure, the Strategic Planning Supervisor will be in a unique position to work cross-departmentally and with Leadership to steer Kia Canada towards its short and long-term objectives with a focus on strategic issues and/or opportunities that could affect future growth and profitability. The role will also involve ongoing market surveillance, competitor strategy benchmarking, and internal capability gap assessments. Further responsibilities will include the administration of cross functional meetings and management of SI Dashboards.
**Responsibilities**
Strategic Initiatives Engagement
- In collaboration with Cross-Functional team, manage all steps of the project from Ideation to Launch
- Working cross-functionally, track all Corporate & Department SI action items and deliverables with ongoing follow-up, prioritization and report-out on progress.
- Proactively identify areas of concern for SI completion (competing priorities, issues and risks raised by internal & external stakeholders) and recommend alternatives to ensure completion.
- Business feasibility check and implementation of new ideas (E.g. EV subscription, Grid Charing and so on)
Strategy Management
- Responsible for the KPIs review process for all areas of the organization, referencing progress vs. plans and targets.
- Conducts organizational reviews with PDCA cycle to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks and to evaluate operational effectiveness including profit improvement analysis, KPI report, operation review and revenue optimization program.
Coordinate Cross Functional Meetings
- Support Business Plan (BP) process, coordinate with all stakeholders on development of BP, coordinate preparation of all BP presentations, prepare market and economic updates
- Schedule, collect/consolidate content, create materials, draft, and circulate minutes, follow-up on action items.
- Coordinate periodic Review process with Leadership Team.
Vehicle Launch Coordination
- Coordinate Model Year transition launch readiness, ensuring availability of prices, rebates and all necessary pricing information for internal customers, dealers, and final clients.
**Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education Required**
- 5+ years of experience?in project management
- Subject matter expert in general strategic planning processes including internal team engagement
- Solid understanding of profit analysis. Knowledge of financial principles preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills including formal and informal presentations.
- Strong current automotive background at either the retailer or manufacturer level.
- Experience with EV research or consulting in the industry
- Well developed PC skills (MS Office, Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Core Quality Tools and Continuous Improvement principles is a very strong plus.
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, Operations Research, Economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work in a team environment with people of various backgrounds and with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent time management, able to multitask, and deliver on time.
