Manager of Employee Relations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Employee Relations Manager** to join our HR team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure fair and consistent employee relations practices across the organization. You will work closely with senior leaders, line managers, and employees to resolve workplace issues, promote a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions
- Provide support and counsel to senior leaders and managers with respect to labour relations matters including discipline, performance issues, bargaining unit negotiations, and serving as a liaison between staff and management
- Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and allegations of misconduct
- Support managers and employees through occupational and non-occupational disability-related issues, ensuring compliance with legal requirements at all times
- Develop, enhance, and implement employee relations policies and procedures that align with company goals and legal requirements
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop training programs on employee relations topics, including harassment prevention, diversity and inclusion, and effective communication
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, and advise management on best practices for maintaining a positive and compliant workplace
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, fostering open communication and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in employee relations, human resources, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including ESA, AODA, OHS, and labor relations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
