The Nuclear Security Division is looking to fill:
**Team Leader, Nuclear Security Compliance Operations**
- Lead and coordinate inspections in all areas of physical protection and nuclear security at nuclear facilities

Reporting to the Director, you will:

- lead a team of Nuclear Security Advisors/Inspectors;
- assist the Director in the implementation, evaluation and maintenance of a threat and risk-informed nuclear security assessments, compliance and inspection program;
- plan and conduct security compliance inspections and evaluations in all areas of physical protection and nuclear security at nuclear facilities and for nuclear materials;
- enforce the Nuclear Security Regulations (NSR) and the security related areas of the General Nuclear and Safety Control Regulations (GNSCRs) and Licence Condition Handbooks;
- develop policies and procedures, standards and regulatory guides for the administration and implementation of the NSR;
- represent the CNSC and Canada in domestic and international meetings and conferences regarding physical protection of nuclear facilities and nuclear material, including threat and risk analysis.

**Essential Qualifications**:
**Education**:
A college diploma in physical protection, security management or police sciences and several years’ experience in security or a university degree in political or physical sciences, engineering, experience and job knowledge will also be considered.

**Language Requirements**:
**Experience in**:

- Leading and managing a team of multidisciplinary operational members
- Championing and leading change initiatives across a team to achieve a new operational efficiency
- Engaging staff across organizational boundaries to achieve common operational objectives
- Presenting technical or regulatory information to diverse audiences, including key decision-making bodies in an organization
- Developing policies, procedure and/or regulatory documents
- Evaluation processes, programs and services and recommending areas for improvement
- Development and implementation of performance indicators, including the development of mitigation strategies for corrective actions
- Conducting inspections, or other regulatory compliance verification activities, and/or providing leadership to personnel who perform these functions
- Execution or planning of large-scale regulatory activities, emergency or security exercises, or projects, involving complex scenarios and engagement of external partners

**Knowledge of**:

- The CNSC´s role as nuclear regulatory authority
- Auditing\inspection methods and reporting techniques to conduct evaluations
- The Nuclear Safety Control Act and supporting regulations, in particular the Nuclear Security Regulations
- International treaties and instruments related to nuclear security
