**Laboratory Analyst, Inorganic, Metals Lab**

**(Full time position)**

**As a Laboratory Analyst, your main responsibilities are as below**:

- To perform extraction and sample analysis for metals in a variety of matrices including food, waters, soils, air trains, paints and other items. Some duties include:

- Preparation of samples for analysis (digestion, filtration, dilution)
- Analysing samples using AA, ICPOES or ICPMS
- Performing all duties in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Reviewing LIMS summary reports to plan and prioritize workload
- Identifying and communicating non-conformances to supervisor
- Participating in improving SOPs and general work instructions
- Supporting method development and R&D initiatives within Metals group
- Other duties as assigned

**You are the ideal Laboratory Analyst, if you have**:

- You possess a post-secondary education and/or equivalent related work experience in analytical laboratory
- Experience with AA, ICPOEA or ICPMS would be an asset
- You possess analytical problem solving skills and excellent documentation skills
- You have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments
- You are detail oriented
- You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- You have excellent interpersonal skill
- You are dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook, and a "can-do" attitude

**You must be able to work afternoon and/or weekend shift**
