**Job Summary**:
The Client Services Program Lead reports directly to the Program Supervisor and will be involved in the daily operations of the various Food Bank programs, primarily Food Distribution and Client Services. The Client Services Program Lead is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day procedures of food distribution, including communication between Fresh Food Recovery, the Hamper Room, and the Warehouse regarding stock levels, addressing client questions and concerns, and supporting staff and volunteers. Additionally, the position is responsible for leading the training of new staff and volunteers. The Client Services Program Lead supports the Program Supervisor in adopting and implementing a human rights/equity based social justice lens to food related activities at the Food Bank.

**Your Role**:
Archway’s Client Services Program Lead with the Food Bank contributes by:

- Coordinating between the day-to-day activities of various food distribution programs at the Food Bank, primarily Food Distribution and Client Services.
- Ensuring staff, practicums, and volunteers are supported, necessary training is provided, program equipment is in place, policies are adhered to and program standards are met.
- Communicating regularly with staff through daily morning updates, informing them of fresh food availability each day, and ensuring the client menu board is updated daily.
- Supporting Food Distribution with a client centered approach for the three main responsibilities including greeting clients at the door, desk operations for client updates/appointments, and quality control of food for hamper distribution.
- Creating the daily Food Distribution position rotation schedule each month.
- Addressing food-related concerns from clients, and when appropriate, elevating concerns to the Program Supervisor.
- Understanding daily stock requirements based on the number of scheduled appointments and is proactive in communicating gaps and excesses.
- Maintaining workspace cleanliness standards and safety while following Health & Safety protocols and ensuring Food Safe standards from the Food Bank of Canada are upheld.

- A permanent, full-time position at 35 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

**Getting an Interview-you will be considered if you have**:

- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary education is an asset.
- Pallet jack/Forklift certification is an asset or willingness to complete the training.
- Successful completion of Safe Food Handling course (Food Banks Canada).
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer service role.
- A minimum of 2 years leadership experience.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations is an asset.
- Experience driving vans, power pallet jacks and other machinery, e.g., weigh scales, is an asset.

- Well-developed verbal, written, and active listening skills; able to communicate effectively and respectfully with people from a variety of backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to balance and manage competing projects and priorities and prioritize workload to respond to changing conditions and deadlines.
- Strong computer competency; able to use Microsoft Office365, particularly Excel, database systems, and virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Solid understanding of safe working procedures and the ability to train staff and volunteers based on those requirements.
- Knowledge of the issues, barriers and impacts encompassing food insecurity, homelessness, and housing.
- Ability to navigate challenging conversations and sensitive topics.
- In this position you may interact with people in challenging situations.
- This position requires the ability to work indoors and outdoors in any weather.
- This position may include periods of constant motion including walking and lifting or carrying items up to 40 lbs.
