Monitoring Officer

Murray's Windermere Gardens is looking for security / police foundation professionals that possess excellent customer service skills. You should be a reliable person able to observe and observe well. You must be a reliable employee who is always there for the team. This is an ideal position for a recent graduate of a Police Foundation, Corrections or Security Program. This position will allow you to gain experience working with a marginalized population with a history of chronic homelessness, involved in the criminal justice system, diagnosed with mental health illness, and struggling with addiction.
**Security Guard Job Description**:
- Provide security and safety services at various the home.
- Ensure you know the whereabouts of all the residents at any given time.
- Follow up with the resident as per their conditions and policy.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and parking lot.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and monitor results.
- Report any suspicious activity or incidents to management
- Investigate incidents according to company policies
- Maintain accurate logs and report any issues or incidents to the supervisor or manager.
- Assist in maintaining fire safety regulations at designated buildings and alarm inspection.
- Adhere to all applicable laws regarding security, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Enforce regulations to maintain order and resolve conflict and monitor activities.
**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**:
Combination of sitting, standing and wlaking. Demanding and fast paced enviroment, repetitive tasks and works well under pressure.
**Job Requirements**:
Criminal Record Check - Vulnerable Sector check, Fingerprints, Immunization records, Tuberculosis vaccinations, employment references required.
**Required Skills**:
- **First Aid/ CPR Certification**:
- **Security license, corrections. police foundations or equivalent experience.**:
- **Mental health first aid certificate behavior certification, NVCI, WHMIS, (preferred)**
