*Currently seeking a Registered Kinesiologist in the Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario area, to work closely with experienced business owner, also an R. Kin, to further grow an already successful business.

**Ability at Work** is a growing company, which provides **Ergonomics and Return to Work services across Ontario. ErgoEquip **is a sister company, which provides sales of Ergonomic Products across Canada. We take pride in our ability to help people to stay at work more comfortably and safely, or return to work successfully, following absence due to injury or illness. We ensure that workers' individual needs for ergonomic set up and work practices are accommodated optimally. We ultimately strive to decrease the various costs of disability in the workplace and community, by providing quality assessments, training, set up, and the proper equipment.

Are you a Registered Kinesiologist who is local to Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph or Cambridge, ON, business-minded and entrepreneurial, very professional and forward thinking, with experience in Ergonomics, perhaps thinking about pursuing your own business? Would you like to pursue that goal of running your own business, by learning from an experienced kinesiologist who can mentor you along the way, and then sell the business to you when you are ready?

Do you currently have part-time work, but are interested in working with another company on a part-time basis, as an employee, with opportunity to grow into full-time hours as the opportunities grow?

Are you very honest with high integrity, hard-working, smart, flexible, professional, and very knowledgeable in Ergonomics?

Do you also have an interest and knowledge in digital marketing, and willingness to occasionally complete some office and marketing duties for business development?

Are you very interested in working closely with an experienced Registered Kinesiologist, to grow the business in the areas of:

- Ergonomics
- Ergonomic Training
- Sales of Ergonomic Products
- Return to Work (Disability Management) Services, and
- Occupational Health and Safety Training?
- **Knowledge Required**:

- Must have obtained an Undergraduate Degree at an Ontario or British Columbia University Kinesiology program, which is recognized for training in Ergonomics, and Occupational Health.
- Must have a high interest in pursuing Ergonomics and Return to Work as a career.
- Must have a very high willingness to learn, and to take further courses as needed.
- Must have a growing knowledge of PIPEDA, PHIPA and practice the privacy legislation.
- Knowledge of digital marketing practices, website and social-media management is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of other marketing strategies is an asset.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, managing schedules, answering the phone, and performing other office duties is an asset, and will be required.

**Qualifications Required**:

- Must be registered with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario, or planning to write the entrance Exam in April 2024.
- Must carry at least $2 million professional liability insurance.
- Must have taken specific University or College-Level courses in Applied Ergonomics.
- Training or courses in Occupational Health and Safety, or Disability Management, or Human Resources would be beneficial.
- Experience in completing Ergonomic Assessments (may have been obtained through Co-Op job placements.)
- Experience in performing FAEs with a recognized system would be an asset.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and driver's license, and be willing to travel to locations up to 3 hours distance.
- Must be bond-able, and meet security requirements for Government security clearance.

**Skills Required**:

- Very reliable, dedicated, honest, open, forthright, pleasant personality required to work closely with business owner.
- Ability and desire to accept leadership and mentorship of other, more experienced individuals.
- Visionary
- Ability to foresee opportunities realistically, set goals, and consistently work towards meeting them, keeping up with timelines.
- Hard-working, strong time-management skills.
- Fluent use of computer, typing speed at least 55-60 words per minute.
- Able to help troubleshoot computer and office equipment issues if needed.
- Able to run a business independently. Strong business-management skills required.
- Previous management experience would be an asset.
- Very strong clinical, assessment, documentation and observation skills
- Strong or actively growing product knowledge of Ergonomic products and assistive devices (for Ergonomic Accommodation Assessments)
- Very strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills in English, and please list other languages you can converse in (French is a strong asset.)
- Exceptionally strong report writing skills and proficient in Microsoft Word.
