Quotations Analyst

**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the Sales Manager, a key aspect of the Quotations Analyst role is project management in organizing, communicating and managing the various parts of the awarded project to ensure its success. The role is also responsible for the pricing and technical information on day-to-day enquiries for projects. Participates in the preparation, distribution and follow-up of projects, shop drawings, and maintenance manuals, as well as the preparation of job releases. Assists in pricing specialty products when required.

Demonstrating thorough product and pricing knowledge as well as excellent customer service, the Quotations Analyst contributes as follows;
- Manage the completion of the job awarded to Desco.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to ensure product is ordered according to job schedule.
- Collaborate with the Distribution Centre or Branch team to ensure product is received and job releases are scheduled and shipped when required.
- Assist in preparation of shop drawings and maintenance manuals for contracts that have been secured. Confirms shop-drawing approvals.
- Keep project schedule up-to-date in collaboration with the sales team and customers.
- Address customer inquiries on current jobs and progress of these jobs with superior customer service to ensure future business growth.
- Manage multiple jobs concurrently and set priorities accordingly.
- Maintenance of Reserved Orders and dates.
- Prepares quote in detail for customers working closely with vendors and Purchasing Department.
- Act as quotation consultant to internal sales representatives, order desk representatives and customers.
- Ensure all quotations are accompanied with relevant documentation; processed within the chosen and established price structures and prepared within the deadlines specified.
- Utilizing the ‘Bid Depository’ website, follow up on current bids, update information where applicable and gather information daily on current bid jobs and prepare weekly report.
- Track and monitor conversion rate and dollar value with a goal to improve quote to sale ratio.
- Provide overflow customer service support from the order desk by entering of customer orders, providing product information, pricing and stock status checks.

What You Offer
- Minimum 2-3 years prior experience in plumbing and/or HVAC quotes/inside sales role
- Post-secondary education in Plumbing/HVAC or Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technologist, or equivalent experience
- Must have knowledge in PVF, commercial fixtures and HVAC
- Experience in Hydronics would an asset
- Experience in Loopcad RFH/SIM Design or similar Software
- Computer literate; Basic MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical documentation including CADD drawings, Blueprints and Submittals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven sales ability and customer service oriented
- Highly organized with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and customer commitments
