Barrie, Canada IOOF Seniors Homes Inc. Full time

The IOOF Seniors Homes Inc. is an established and progressive charitable corporation providing accommodation and support services to seniors through a multi-facility continuum of care which includes a long term care home, affordable and supportive housing and life lease housing.

The IOOF has recently embarked upon the largest capital project in its history, with the launch of a $1.2 million redevelopment campaign to expand the facility to a 226-bed long-term care home. This transformative revitalization will create 64 new long-term care beds and 66 upgraded beds, modern spaces, updated equipment, private rooms, and increased square footage.

This management role is well suited to a highly motivated, self-directed, client-focused communicator with a demonstrated commitment to excellent service within a caring resident centered environment.

**Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, social work, gerontology or equivalent in an appropriate discipline or a closely related field
- Diploma in Recreation & Leisure or related field
- Certificate in Volunteer Management and/or certified Volunteer Manager preferred.
- Three (3) years progressive leadership and management experience preferably in the not-for-profit long term care sector
- Familiarity with gerontology issues and restorative and therapeutic care as applicable to the long term care sector
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
- A good understanding of accounting practices
- Willingness to obtain Class ‘F’ Bus License mandatory

**Salary**: $32.88-$41.64 per hour
