**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Clerk B is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the department in its communications with other departments and support to the nurses and medical staff. The Clerk B must be able to handle multiple demands and priorities in a busy and unpredictable environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Grade XII plus one year related experience or one year related program
- Medical Terminology course preferred
- Experience using PHS and STAR, Advanced PHS training preferred
- Computer experience (Windows, MS Office) and typing/keyboarding are required
- Customer service courses an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Co-ordination, organization and decision making abilities must be present
- Ability to function independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work in a high volume and high pressure setting
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- A skill test may be included as part of the selection process *
**Hours of Work**:
- Permanent, Full-Time (100%) position, 70 hours bi-weekly
**Salary Information**:
$20.09 - $21.91 Hourly
