TR Petroleum Ltd. is a Canadian, privately owned, family business which has been serving Saskatchewan customers since 1999. TR Petroleum is an independent marketer and distributor of gasolines, diesels, heating oil, propane and lubricants, as well as operating retail and cardlock locations. TR Petroleum, as the largest independent petroleum marketer in Saskatchewan, supplies independent retailers, local fuel distributors and commercial consumers from various industries including:

- Construction

We are a small and dynamic office with a track record of growth, looking for a highly motivated and detail orientated individual to join our team for the long run.

**About the Opportunity**

A combination of organic business growth and personnel shift in responsibilities has led us to seek an applicant related full-time financial accounting position. Our business activities have primarily revolved around the supply of wholesale fuels (Gasolines and Diesels), across several sales channels in Saskatchewan. Successful applicants will be become a central part of our operations and crucial to our team. With a dynamic office environment this position will provide accounting, financial, and tax support to ensure efficient operations.

**Qualifications, Skill and Requirements**:

- CPA designation, accompanied by at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Experience overseeing audits performed by external audit firms.
- Thorough knowledge of APSE accounting standards
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities and a collaborative working style.
- Highly self-motivated, detail oriented, and pride in delivering high quality results.

**Skills and Requirements**:
**Position Responsibilities Include**
- Complete financial reports, lead the month-end closing process and review.
- Reconcile bank accounts and help to manage cash flow.
- Maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and payroll.
- Monthly fuel tax and sales tax preparation required for company.
- Recognize patterns in company spending and revenue and recommend solutions to any areas of concern.
- Ensure proper policies and procedures are followed to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure.
- Help to develop, implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensures financial transactions, including invoices, payments and accruals, pre-paid expenses, and deferrals, are processed, recorded, and tracked in a timely manner and in accordance
- Assists with budgeting, financial planning, reporting, analysis, and forecasting processes
- Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and financial information requested
- Participation in inventory reviews, lead in the inventory reconciliation process.
- Provide advice and guidance on all finance/accounting matters including financial systems, record keeping, analysis, and reporting.
