The Rotary Centre for the Arts is a key cultural facility in Kelowna. Situated on the unceded territories of the Syilx/Okanagan People, it is operated by the Kelowna Visual and Performing Arts Centre Society. We are committed to bringing the arts community together and contributing to the cultural vitality and diversity of Kelowna through artistic, educational, and community programming.

This frontline position provides excellent customer service to all visitors and will be responsible for assisting clients with their queries, box office ticketing, course registrations, and general reception. This position reports to the Box Office/Executive Assistant and may also assist with administrative assistance such as cash management, and general office duties.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Prior experience providing excellent customer service experience
- Emphasis on computer and technical literacy with preference given to quick learners of new software programs and those very comfortable with technology
- Experience and knowledge of cash management
- Manage composition of petty cash and floats
- Excellent organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills
- Use of office equipment including computerized information entry and proficiency with technology in general
- Ability to exercise courtesy, tact, diplomacy, and persuasion in responding to internal and external requests
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to exercise independence of judgment in determining priorities
- Operate a multi-line switchboard to receive and relay messages
- Work with the RCA team to provide general assistance to the public using the facilities, ensuring that regulations are observed
- Experience with Artifax scheduling and Spektrix ticketing software is considered an asset
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of ticketing software systems such as Spectrix, is an asset.
- Knowledge of other languages is also considered an asset
- Box office/ticketing experience is an asset

Flexibility required to work evenings and weekends.

**Job Type**: Part-time, on-call as required for performances in the Mary Irwin Theatre and the Kelowna Community Theatre.

Compensation: $17/hr
