About Us:
LAND is a vibrant cafe and yoga studio on the Chilliwack River. LAND is known for healthy-ish food that is unapologetically tasty, incredible coffee, and a travel inspired vibe. If you love making delicious food and want to be part of a team that loves to provide an exceptional customer experience every time then this is the role for you. You'll be responsible for the day to day running of a kitchen, serving breakfast and brunch in the cafe, as well as preparing items ready to grab for our customers who are on the go.

Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and take our food program to the next level. This includes our expanding grab-n-go and grocery items. The ideal person will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes, a strong and positive leadership presence in the kitchen, and the ability to contribute creative ideas to our menu and product selection.

**Responsibilities**:

- Menu Development: Collaborate with owners and team members to create and update menus for both the cafe and grab-n-go sections, ensuring alignment with the LAND brand.
- Kitchen Management: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and mentor kitchen staff for all areas, creating a positive and collaborative work environment.Continually train kitchen staff to enhance team skills.
- Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards in food preparation and presentation for both cafe and grab-n-go items, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
- Cost Management: Work closely with the management team to control food costs, manage inventory, and implement cost-effective measures for both the cafe and grab-n-go/grocery sections.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring the availability of fresh, high-quality ingredients for all areas of the business.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, such as modifying menus and product offerings based on ingredient availability, costs, and customer preferences.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar setting.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification.
- Minimum 2 years in kitchen management
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Creativity and ability to contribute innovative ideas to menu and product development.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.

Pay + Benefits:

- 40,000 - 45,000 a year depending on experience
- Tip-share amount is approximately $10,000 per year
- Paid time off
- No nights We are open 8-4pm. **We do the odd event that is in the evening
