Earls Kitchen + Bar is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement and Supply Chain department in Vancouver, BC to ensure the flawless operations of our procurement systems.
The person who is best suited for this role has phenomenal organizational skills, is solution-driven, uses influence and persuasion to achieve results, and is at their best working as part of a team. You will work cross-functionally both internally in our organization and with many external suppliers. Dynamic communication skills and a sense of urgency are a must for this position
**Role Responsibilities**
- Implement, evaluate, and maintain procurement programs and processes.
- Negotiate the best possible value in every instance and assist in achieving annual financial targets as it relates to the Specialist’s categories.
- Gain access to the best products and programs through collaboration, negotiation, and accountability as it relates to the Specialist’s categories.
- Develop specifications with Culinary Development and conduct competitive bids and proposals.
- Administer contracts and monitor supplier performance.
- Hold supplier partners accountable to meet or beat relative market inflation rates.
- Continue to push suppliers for open and transparent agreements for better cost and risk management.
- Track market movements in all commodities assigned to evaluate long-term price and supply trends.
- Continuously grow and strengthen the supplier network for products, services, innovations, and technology.
**Qualifications**
- 2-5 years experience in a Procurement and Supply Chain field, preferably in the food industry.
- A Degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Experience working in a restaurant/knowledge of the hospitality industry and operations is an asset.
- The ability to manage many conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience drafting and executing supplier contracts.
- Sound judgment and the ability to walk through the decision-making process.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite Programs.
- Proficiency in Database programs is an asset.

- Salary rand of $58,000 to $63,000 annually plus the perks and benefits below
