**Geographical Location**:Franklin - TFL 44 **Salary Range**:Hourly USW Union Position
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operator drives a company pickup to the forest job sites; and often works independently, following detailed work plans and specifications
- Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
- Responsible for safely navigating the machine on logging roads and mainlines in areas that see heavy traffic.
- Operate grader controls to regulate height and angle of grader blade
- Maintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting, and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
- May be responsible for machine basic service, refueling, diagnostics and minor repairs
- Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
- Follow all site, company and client specific safety protocols, policies, and procedures
**Position Requirements**:
- Must be fully qualified with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Valid Class 5 BC drivers license and clean driving record
- Must have knowledge of road grade and water management
- Ability to use multiple functions while operating equipment
- Monitor equipment performance while operating
- Situational awareness at all times
- Manoeuvre safely over a variety of terrain
- Physically able to get up and down machine
- Hazard awareness knowledge and understanding
**Salary**: $35.99 per hour
