**Position**

Working with the Supervisor, Distribution Services - Shared Services, the Warehouse Coordinator will perform all tasks that relate to Warehouse, Surplus, and Furniture Services. The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a smooth flow of goods coming into the warehouse and leaving the warehouse, as well as maintaining the database and physical location of items in storage. There is also the requirement to work closely with other Distribution team members including the shipper/receivers, vehicle operators, dispatcher and manager as well as liaising with both the campus community and external contacts.

**Duties**
- Receives and processes storage requests from campus
- Receives goods from campus and external courier companies for storage in the warehouse facility
- Receives requests for surplus equipment pickups, ensures completeness of the form and assigns a surplus declaration number
- Maintains the storage database and ensures alignment with warehouse racking system
- Operates the forklift, University-owned vehicles and other equipment as required

**Minimum Qualifications**
- High School Diploma
- Two to three years related experience in the transportation, surplus goods and/or warehouse industry
- Authorized University of Alberta driver
- Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of campus, including building and department locations
- Commitment to safety

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Canadian Personal Property Appraisal certification
- Mechanical ability to perform small repairs on equipment and vehicles
