**JOB POSTING**

Title: Executive Manager to Chief & Council (Executive Manager)

Job Objectives: The Executive Manager will work directly under the offices of the Chief and
Council. This person will manage special projects and on-going governance administration of the
Chief & Council. This person will work with other teams in forwarding the goals and objectives of
Council initiatives.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Business, Corporate Governance or Administration;
Certification in Corporate Governance and or LL.B. are considered assets
- At least 7+ years experiencing working in an Indigenous environment as corporate secretary, executive assistant, or paralegal.
- Knowledge and understanding of Nak’azdli Whut’en community, governance and history
- Strong research and report writing skills
- Supremely organized and detail-oriented
- Effective and strong communication skills
- An excellent problem solver
- Familiar with applicable laws and regulations
- Advanced use of English language, grammar and writing skills
- Advanced level skill with Microsoft Office suite of products
- Efficient time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with people sensitively and diplomatically at all times.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- High degree of professionalism, honesty and confidentiality.
- Must provide a clear criminal records check.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license and reliable vehicle

**Working Conditions**
- Hours of work: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm - 35 hours per week
- Some flexibility in hours may be required
- Fast paced, high pressure environment at times
- Travel will be required
- High level of confidentiality required
- Remote working environment considered if attendance in community can be scheduled appropriately.
