**JOB DESCRIPTION - IT SUPPORT TECHINCIAN**

Media 6 IMG (IMG) is a well-established manufacturing company with over 20 years experience specializing in custom cabinetry and millwork, located in south Mississauga. We manufacture store fixtures for clients throughout North America, working with wood, melamine, plastic laminates, acrylics and metal. **Responsibilities include**:

- Support and installation (add/move/change) of desktop/laptop equipment (as well software/OS configuration and data recovery/backup)
- Support, installation and troubleshooting of network devices (routers, switches, modems, WiFi access points)
- Support, installation and troubleshooting of printers
- Configuring and supporting mobile devices (Android/iPhone)
- Evaluate documented resolutions and suggest ways to prevent future problems
- Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriate experienced technician
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used by IMG
- Opportunity to become involved in network administration and build projects (running cable, mount cabinets and A/V equipment, access points, cameras and NVRs)

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**

This is a role that will provide you with challenges at your expected skill level. Ongoing technical training will be provided but you will be expected to begin with a substantial background in IT hardware support (a mix of education and professional experience. You are also expected to be in possession of notable people skills that will allow you to provide technical support - this includes:

- Work independently, as well as collaboratively with a strong business acumen
- Communicate professionally, concisely and consistently both verbally and in writing
- Strong organization, documentation and problem solving skills required with the ability to multitask, prioritize and deal with time constraints
- Be able to develop a project plan and execute on deliverables.
- Experience creating and maintaining projects in a team environment
- Experience in computer components, hardware, workstations is required
- Experience/knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches is a plus
- Knowledge of network administration, Microsoft operating systems, Office365/Teams
- Experience with programming (SQL) and databases an asset
- Experience in an MRP/MSP/ERP environment is required
- Must be able to main a high level of confidentiality

**SCHEDULE & ENVIRONMENT**
- The regular schedule for this position is Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, with some occasional evening and weekend requirements. In this role you will progressively provide support to our users at 5 locations located near to each other in Mississauga. You will be required to supply your own vehicle, use of which will be compensated for.

**Salary**: $42,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
