**Position Purpose**

The Technician has good interpersonal and communication skills while interacting with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. He/she is a solution focused problem solver.

The Technician will carry out the actions required to implement the projects planned by the IT department across all Ottawa Mission existing and future sites.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Provide Level 1 & 2 support for all Staff across Ottawa Mission Sites
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and technical requests across the organization
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, IP networks, printers, cctv cameras, scanners, AV equipment, telephony and other devices
- Monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer systems and networks
- Configure computers and accounts for new hires and handle move requests as needed
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Repairing, replacing or upgrading as necessary
- Provide orientation, guidance and training to users on IT products and services
- Create, maintain and contribute to technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
- Coordinate with IT Manager and Site Management for all necessary IT changes. Follow IT best practices. Direct unresolved issues to the next level of IT support personnel
- Work as a technical resource on assigned projects. Participate in weekend maintenance or project activities, as required
- Participate in providing 24/7 on-call support for IT environment as required

**Other Requirements**

**Education**
- College diploma in Technology related field

**Experience**
- Certification as IT Technician (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is considered an asset

**Qualifications**
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High degree of professionalism, courteousness, and friendliness
- Approachable, highly organized, self-motivated, able to multi-task, team and goal oriented
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, analyze, research, and solve advanced technical problems. Able to read and understand technical documentation
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of Microsoft business environments and administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of all facets of multi-site business computer networks
- Basic knowledge of Server and virtualization technologies
- Demonstrated knowledge of IP networking and administration (local and remote administration)
- Demonstrated knowledge of mobile device administration
- Ability to proactively keep abreast of new emerging technologies
- Class “G” driver’s license with clean abstract required
- Experience in a multi-site environment considered an asset
- Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset

**Working Conditions**
- Standard office hours; occasional non-regular hours and days may be required
- Primarily Office Setting for multi-locations
- Must adhere to strident deadlines and be able to manage and respond to competing priorities
- Must be comfortable working in a challenging environment that has the potential for confrontation and/or exposure to violence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $46,300.00-$53,000.00 per year
