**About the Role**:
The Curriculum Development and E-Learning Specialist is responsible for building and delivering high quality, demand driven synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities that address evolving job seeker and hospitality industry skill needs.

Leveraging your experience in adult education and as an e-learning specialist, you will provide design vision and develop e-learning modules and assessments for existing curriculum. You will create asynchronous versions of curriculum currently being delivered as synchronous instructor led training, and will research and develop new e-learning curriculum as needed.

In the role of Curriculum Development and E-Learning Specialist, you be responsible for the management and maintenance of our learning management system and will support the growth and realization of e-learning opportunities for HWTC.

As Curriculum Development and E-Learning Specialist you will work collaboratively with the Training team and across the organization to ensure that programs and systems align with and advance HWTC’s strategic goals and operational plans.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring the delivery of quality training programs and participant experiences through the development and optimization of HWTC’s virtual learning platforms and other virtual tools.
- Innovating new and redeveloping existing content and curriculum to build and scale high quality synchronous and asynchronous training programs.
- Researching and developing new e-learning products, including training, in response to market demand. This includes the development of lesson plans, assessments and supporting documentation.
- Leading the planning development and delivery of HWTC’s micro-credentials including the systems to support efficient coordination of training, assessment and badging.
- Managing the Learning Management System Program Administrators to ensure efficient administration of the platforms, systems and software supporting participants and instructors on HWTC’s e-learning platforms.
- Supporting evidence-based decision making by overseeing the efficient capture, analysis and dissemination of program and participant performance data within the LMS.

**About You**:

- Certificate in Adult Education, Education Degree, or commensurate experience;
- 4+ years managing e-learning platforms
- 4+ years experience in curriculum development and instructional design (synchronous and asynchronous);
- Experience with and commitment to producing a high quality, accurate, and accessible e-learning experience.
- Recent professional experience in the hospitality industry an asset. This means direct work experience in a hotel, restaurant or tourism/attraction business.
- Experience with LearnWorld LMS an asset
- Software Knowledge: Specific knowledge of the following are an asset: Saleforce, Adobe, Calendly, Articulate 360, FilmoraX, Badgecert, Vyond,Litmos LMS, Trivia Maker, Keboola,
- Excellent communications, interpersonal and time management skills.
- An understanding of systemic issues that impact the experience and needs of learners/job seekers, including individuals with: English as a Second Language, experience in the refugee and immigration system, experience facing poverty, trauma, disabilities, and mental health challenges;
- Previous experience working in a non-profit or community services organization is a strong asset
- The ability to work independently, with a strong sense of ownership/ accountability for your assigned tasks
- Adaptable, collaborative and comfortable with ambiguity, you must thrive in an environment of change and have the drive to seek out excellence, always.
- Delights in problem solving and is dedicated to continuous improvement

This is a full-time, hybrid remote position. The salary range is between $68,000 - $72,000. We have a 100% employer-funded health and wellness plan and generous leave entitlements. Compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
