Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, specifically pertaining to the processing and monitoring of incoming payments, and the issuance of payments to suppliers. This role involves maintaining the general ledger and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payment transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and execute the billing process, ensuring timely issuance of invoices to clients.
- Record and reconcile incoming payments, and pursue the collection of overdue accounts.
- Verify and record transactions, maintaining a comprehensive financial filing system.
- Process accounts payable, ensuring accurate entry of invoices and scheduling payments to suppliers.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accuracy of cash transactions.
- Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
- Assist with month-end closing and other accounting projects as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational financial information.

Qualifications:

- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Aptitude for numbers.
- Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
- Data entry and word processing skills.
- Well organized.
- Associates degree or relevant certification is a plus.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
