**Job Overview**:
Urban element is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to fill the role of Catering Chef. Our culinary mission is providing exceptional culinary experiences for all our guests, delivered upon by a team of good people.

Urban element’s Catering Chef is responsible for all details associated with the kitchen organization, production and execution of catered events delivered on urban element’s culinary mission. The Catering Chef will work closely with the sales and event coordination team to deliver upon exceptional guest experiences and work in synergy with the Executive/Operations Chef on creating efficiencies that support the catering department’s operational requirements.

**Main Functions**:

- Day to day production/support of production of all catering menus as directed by Executive Chef and/or management
- Provide exceptional onsite catering + event execution and event leadership as per the outlined service standards and protocols of the urban element
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef & management team on all business objectives and goals
- Oversee, train and mentor kitchen/catering staff
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, health + safety standards in kitchen environment

**Key Skills, Experience & Qualifiers for Role**:

- Possess experience in both in the catering sector and fine dining environment(s)
- Strong team management and leadership skills to lead catering staff proactively and effectively
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills, team mentality approach
- Demonstrated experience in kitchen operations and logistics, posses strong organizational skills
- Passion for food, and a desire to learn and grow
