Volunteer - Fund Development Coordinator

Drumheller, Canada Drumheller & District Humane Society Full time

Volunteer Contributions: DDHS could not operate without the help of our volunteers. With only 2 paid staff members we rely on the assistance of volunteers to care for the animals that need our help. Volunteers enhance the quality of life of our animals in care.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and foster relationships with local businesses, corporate sponsors, foundations and individual donors
- Research and identify potential donors
- Organize fundraising campaigns
- Create and manage a legacy campaign
- Develop and implement a donor recognition program
- Take on special projects or initiatives assigned by the President or the board

Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years old
- Be committed, engaged and willing to invest the necessary time and effort to fulfill the duties required
- Be interested in the care of surrendered, neglected, abandoned, and abused animals
- Have good communication skills, work with others in a professional and respectful manner
- Must have previous fund development experience

Time Commitment: 3-8 hours per week

Location: Drumheller Alberta. This position can also be remote
