**The Opportunity**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules and deliverables to execute on high quality projects on time and on budget.
- Creating project plans and communicating with regulatory bodies to achieve regulatory closure.
- Managing budgets for projects of low to high complexity with multiple discipline teams, sub-consultants.
- Overseeing and ensuring health and safety plans are followed.
- Executing projects in compliance with Aurora’s Quality Management System procedures.
- Developing, mentoring, and coaching project teams.
- Staying current to provide leading-edge remediation advice to clients.
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities, writing proposals, and developing Statements of Qualifications.
- Liaising between Aurora and the client to ensure all client deliverables are achieved.
- Participating in industry business development activities.
- Conducting/coordinating technical contaminated sites training and mentoring for discipline team.
- Working with Project Managers and Discipline Teams to resolve quality issues.
- Supporting projects as technical lead as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Several years of project management experience leading multi-discipline, and complex contaminated sites projects and 10-15 years within the Environmental Consulting Industry.
- A professional designation in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan (P.Eng. P.Ag., P. Biol. etc.) along with a Project Management experience.
- Proven success in delivering high quality projects on time and on budget.
- Outstanding relationship building skills and ability to lead and manage by influence.
- An aptitude for and interest in planning, scheduling, and financial management
- Must have sound technical and regulatory understanding of environmental aspects pertaining to contaminated sites (Phase I, II and III ESA).
- An understanding of industry and relevant government regulations in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and listening skills.
- Good time management skills, the ability to work with mínimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the project by being a team player.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License and must provide current drivers abstract.
- Previous experience working around field and heavy equipment would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry would be considered an asset.
- Strong safety acumen / record including a history of safe driving.

**Additional Information**

A requirement of working for Aurora’s Environmental Division is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship (A copy of a valid work permit may be required).

Clearance on medical and drug and alcohol testing may be required.
