Compliance Analyst

** Office Location - Mississauga, Ontario**

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Act as a Privacy Champion for ClaimSecure and ensure the organization is compliant with all federal and provincial privacy laws.
- Establish and document Compliance policies and procedures and ensure they are regularly reviewed and maintained to comply with emerging regulatory requirements.
- Work with the Privacy Champions to investigate, resolve, document, and report (if required) all privacy breaches to the appropriate organizations.
- Assist with the management of all Compliance training programs.
- In conjunction with Manager Pricing and Compliance and Canada Life, interpret new and updated legislation of the various provincial jurisdictions and regulatory authorities.
- Liaise with the Compliance Office of our parent company.
- Act as Compliance representative on all major projects.
- Assist in assessing company operations to determine compliance risks.
- Assist in ensuring legislative changes have appropriate awareness and engagement.
- Manage timelines to ensure regulatory changes and project work are completed within the defined schedules.
- Research and respond to inquiries from the business on Compliance matters.
- Collaborate with corporate and business partners to ensure audit and compliance assessments are executed efficiently and ensure gaps are identified and action plans in place to close gaps.

**Education, Training and Skills**
- Post-secondary education preferred; however, applicants with an equivalent level of training or experience will be considered.
- Background in compliance would be an asset.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the group health insurance industry with operational risk, privacy and compliance accountabilities.
- Experience in researching and interpreting legislation and communicating requirements to stakeholders.
- Ability to review, assess and interpret complex material to identify business risks and control gaps within the organization.
- Ability to foster working relationships with all business partners at all levels to ensure that compliance work is appropriately prioritized.
- Familiarity with the concept of managing risk is required.
- Mature self-starter who assumes ownership of problems and identifies creative solutions.

Pay: From $59,869.00 per year
