**Position Summary**

The Quality Coordinator reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of a quality management system.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Gather and enter data and perform routine analysis for reporting quality performance and related activities.
- Identify, initiate, follow-up and lead Root Cause and Corrective Actions activities.
- Perform and assist the Quality Assurance Manager with internal and external Quality and Compliance audits.
- Update QA logs and generate quality reports.
- Implement and maintain QA manual and other quality documentation.
- Assist and work with other departments to ensure QA and Compliance policies/procedures are implemented and standards are being maintained.
- Respond to quality related inquiries from internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Train new hires in quality procedures.
- Assist in other quality assurance duties as directed and assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Occasional travel to customer, vendor and other Vicwest locations may be required.

**Education and Experience**
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related discipline.
- Experience in construction products industry
- Internal/ external Auditor or Lead Auditor certification or training desired.
- RCCA, FMEA and other related certificates or training desired.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Demonstrates excellent communications, training and leadership skills
- Data analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills rooted in product, industry and manufacturing knowledge.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 37301, 14001, 45001
- Posses the ability to train and execute dimensional inspections.
- Ability to integrate into manufacturing, office and corporate environments.
- Strong knowledge of lean tools and methods such as 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, RCCA, internal and external auditing and product certifications
- Customer satisfaction focused.
- Results driven to deliver value and cost savings.
- Proven project management ability
- Self led training and certification may be eligible for re-imbursement by Vicwest as part of our standard employee benefits

- Quality Audits: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- RCCA, FMEA or related certificates (preferred)
