**Purpose**:
To be a team leader and motivator within the hotel, develop and implement the total sales and marketing efforts of the hotel, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts in order to maximize profitability, achieve budgeted total room revenues and exceed better than fair market share.

**Objective**:

- Achieve budgeted room revenues through effective direct sales and marketing initiatives.
- Actively participate in Revenue Meetings; analyze sales & channel statistics to determine business growth potential or sales plan course correction, where necessary.
- Develop, in conjunction with the GM, the annual Sales and Marketing Plan and Rooms Revenue Budget, with full accountability to deliver target revenue and market share.
- Researches market in order to identify potential sources of business within business travel segments (including corporate groups), Athletic, SMERF and Leisure business.
- Follows up all sales activities and establishes a month-by-month Accounts and Segment strategy.
- Maintains monthly account productivity tracking and takes actions with accounts to either reward high productivity or action under performance.
- Negotiates rates within preset pricing parameters, while adhering to overall target hotel rate structure, credit policies and general hotel and corporate policies and procedures.
- Builds Strategic Relationships with National and Global Accounts and key Hilton Worldwide Sales contacts.
- Responsible for developing and building strong relationships and top of mind awareness with Travel Management Companies.
- Establishes customer retention and account penetration strategies.
- Creates a prioritized list of target accounts to shift share of business from competitors
- Contacts in-house guests to establish contact and secure additional business from the guests’ company and/or contact base.
- Ensures proper organization of work environment
- Maintains an updated OnQ profile and updated account activities for potential and existing clients with detailed information on potential and production.
- Responds to client request for special services and resolves client problems and complaints.
- Maintains top-of-mind awareness of strengths, weaknesses and pricing of competitive set.
- Attends trade shows/marketplaces, networking opportunities and sales blitzes per established annual sales plan to develop key contacts & business opportunities consistent with the hotels’ target markets.
- Participates in formulation of annual sales plan
- Projects an image of professionalism to Guests and Associates
- Takes responsibility for other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Five years of hotel sales experience required, with varied market mix experience.
- Previous Sales Manager/Senior Sales Manager experiences preferred.
- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality or Business preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Sales Force preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office, (_Word, Excel /PowerPoint_) + electronic & web distribution channels

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
