**Required**
- Post-Secondary School Education in medical secretary/medical transcription or equivalent combination of education (minimum of grade 12) and relative working experience.
- Medical Terminology course completed through a recognized college.
- Strong public relations/team/customer service communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to learn EMHware computer software for patient registration/booking, scanning, running reports and data entry.
- A strong interest in process improvement that is patient centered.
- Must be able to accept direction and work with minimum supervision.

**Duties**
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with all hospital staff and community partners in care in day-to-day operations involving clients and families.
- Functions as the unit’s receptionist by greeting and registering clients, answering phones using AIDET process, and re-routing calls to crisis workers.
- Coordinates all client appointments overseeing booking, rescheduling, canceling, and reminder calls.
- Prepares daily appointment schedules for crisis workers in excel.
- Assists Manager with payroll, including entering into payroll software and liaises with staff scheduling office where appropriate.
- Makes and corrects changes to time sheet and on-call record.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality according to PHIPA.
- Maintains client medical records and processing admissions to the program.
- Completes reports and compiles data for team leader and finance.
- Orders office supplies and pick up as necessary.
- Completes typing/word processing for the Crisis Intervention Centre.
- Participates and maintains occupational health and safety standards.
- Records and completes audits as assigned.
- Completes mandatory annual education.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
