**DEPARTMENT: People & Technology**

The People and Technology Department is comprised of three teams:
The **People & Strategy team** looks to support our employees across all stages of the employee lifecycle and elevate the employee experience. This includes managing full-cycle recruitment, job evaluation, policies & procedures employee compensation and benefits, rewards and recognition, learning & development, and employee engagement initiatives.

The** Infrastructure **team manages the physical assets of Doctors of BC related to the building, office equipment and maintenance of the building. The team also responds and provides resolution to any issues concerning office equipment, furniture and building maintenance. They also manage the internal and external mail, and take care of general office services and provide support to the tenants within the building.

The** Information Technology** provides technical and software support and training to the employees of Doctors of BC. The IT department is a strategic business partner to further advance the interests of Doctors of BC through technology.

**THE TEAM: People & Strategy**

The **People & Strategy team** looks to support our employees across all stages of the employee lifecycle and elevate the employee experience. This includes managing full-cycle recruitment, job evaluation, policies & procedures employee compensation and benefits, rewards and recognition, learning & development, and employee engagement initiatives.

The People & Strategy team looks to be culture champions at Doctors of BC by engaging, developing, and retaining our workforce. We look to do this by enabling employee growth, improving the employee experience, establishing a feedback culture, nurturing respectful communication, and fostering Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

**THE JOB: Coordinator, Equity Diversity & Inclusion**

Doctors of BC is committed to embracing equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) as core principles of our culture and policies and has begun an EDI journey both externally for physicians (in 2019) and internally for employees (in 2020).

Reporting to the People and Diversity Manager, the Coordinator, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion supports the overall progress of our internal EDI journey at Doctors of BC, using our EDI Roadmap as the guide, through three specific areas of responsibility:
Coordination and support for workplace programs, practices and initiatives supporting our commitment to an equitable and inclusive working environment. This includes:

- Monitor the goals and activities laid out in the EDI Roadmap to track status, challenges and completion of objectives including flagging where follow-ups on deadlines, events and other tasks are needed. Provides insight into potential improvements and positive changes as the year progresses.
- Coordinate the meetings, agendas, minutes and action items for the EDI Employee Working Group meetings (every other month), the EDI Governance Group meetings (once per quarter) and others EDI meetings as needed.
- Oversee the Doctors of BC Important Dates, a list of cultural and heritage months shared with all employees.
- Create Power Point presentations as needed to further support EDI meetings, either as pre or post-meeting action items.
- Other coordination efforts as required.

Internal EDI communications:

- Maintain the EDI section of our employee intranet.
- Support the creation and sharing of employee-facing communications.
- Regularly review and share needed information and EDI resources via internal communication platforms.

EDI Employee Engagement:

- Coordinate EDI employee engagement efforts to support Roadmap objectives. These may include: employee surveys; incoming employee questions; engagement related to in-person and virtual knowledge and learning opportunities such as our All Team Conference; engagement related to cultural awareness days such National Truth and Reconciliation Day; other engagement activities as required.
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to administratively support successful employee EDI learning sessions.
- Work with the Learning & Development team on post-learning session surveys for employees including generating appropriate survey questions and analyzing the results to continually make improvements based on employee feedback.
- Manage the EDI LinkedIn Learning courses (initiation, employee feedback and ongoing maintenance)
- Coordinate and measure the effectiveness of diversity initiatives through the collection, analysis and compilation of metrics and provide meaningful recommendations
- Partner and collaborate with internal teams to promote
