**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, **the Manager of Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion **(REDI) is a part-time position to support CBABC's advocacy and professional development to advance reconciliation, equity, diversity and inclusion in the legal profession and the justice system. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, and is only open to people located in BC. This postion is a part-time position (22 hours per week).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop policy recommendations and professional development resources with groups of volunteer lawyers from CBABC's Equity Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Truth & Reconciliation Committee, Sexual and Gender Diversity Alliance, Aboriginal Lawyers Forum, and Women Lawyers Forum.
- Manage and co-ordinate the work of groups of lawyers as needed, including setting agendas, supporting the facilitation of discussions and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Co-ordinate the implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan and lead periodic reviews.
- Develop, co-ordinate and implement an EDI strategy to focus CBABC's efforts to advance our goals and lead periodic review of that strategy.
- Liaise with external organizations such as the regulator and equity-seeking legal organizations.
- Prepare reports of achievement and progress for senior management and members.
- Work in collaboration with Policy & Advocacy, Communications & Marketing and Member Services staff.

**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Completion of Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Completion of Indigenous awareness education such as _The Path_ or _Indigenous Canada._
- Five (5) or more years of** **program management** **experience managing/administrating agency-wide advancement of reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion** **initiatives.**:

- Understanding of and commitment to:

- Increasing equity, diversity and inclusion in the legal profession
- Reconciliation with Indigenous peoples
- Truth & Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action
- Murdered & Missing Indigenous Women and Girls Commission Calls for Justice.
- Track record of building effective partnerships, influencing internal and external stakeholders, and driving and institutionalizing change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent program management and organizational skills, including the proven ability to handle multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Personable, professional, tactful and diplomatic; can be trusted to positively represent the CBABC and its reputation in every interaction.
- Approachable, customer-centric team player who works well in a group and independently.
- Self-motivated and process-oriented with an unwavering work ethic with the ability to multi-task and complete initiatives within short timelines.
