Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is a fully integrated, progressive, easy-to-use public transit system that provides over 80 million rides each year. Transit plays an important role in city building and provides seamless connection within Edmonton and the region by focusing on three pillars: service, infrastructure and technology.

As the The Regional Services Assistant, you will provide diversified support to the Regional Services area. The primary responsibilities of this role include compiling, verifying, entering, generating, and distributing statistical reports and survey data related to ETS ridership for a variety of internal and external stakeholders/industry partners, as well as supporting contractual services within the unit.

With a focus on the City of Edmonton’s Cultural Commitments to be Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent, you will:

- Enter daily ridership numbers into a series of complex excel/google spreadsheets
- Verify the accuracy of information by comparing on-board survey results with data contained in the Automatic Passenger Counter program
- Review information to ensure accuracy and alignment with historical trends
- Follow up with the appropriate regions or Regional Service Supervisor to discuss issues or concerns
- Maintain appropriate on-board survey report records (electronic and paper)
- Distribute finalized on-board survey reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Generate the monthly ridership report, and distribute information to key internal and external stakeholders
- Assist the Regional Supervisor in preparing and reviewing the yearly contracts for each of the regions to ensure accuracy of information and alignment of content to previous agreements
- Liaise with Law branch and City Clerks Office representatives to gain process related clarification and guidance
- Confirm statistical formula calculations and verbiage definitions annually in order to ensure the accuracy of information being shared
- Utilize multiple sources of information, selects the most appropriate statistic/information, and inputs this into the survey
- Coordinate survey text responses by requesting input from various ETS employees
- Answer and respond to calls from regional partners, and when needed escalate calls
- Create and proofread a variety of documents (Agenda's, Memos, Letters, Minutes, Reports, Presentations, Agreements, etc)
- Review and enter information into SAP
- Participate on special project working committees and project teams, as and when required
- Actively participate at meetings, provide advice, and guidance
- Gather documentation, complete research and provide recommendations
- Support the implementation of new process improvements
- Other related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent

OR
- Completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college
- Minimum of 2 years of diversified clerical experience, including experience entering and maintaining a large volume of data with a high level of accuracy within strict timelines and providing information to stakeholders
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Forms, Sheets, etc), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc), and the ability to learn and adapt to evolving technology
- Ability to make decisions, format documents, and maintain records in accordance with established policies, procedures, and formats
- Ability to work independently and professionally within a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Ability to perform assigned tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently and effectively manage competing priorities, manage a large volume of work, and work under tight timelines
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a focus on collaboration
