**Position Overview**:
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager, or designate, the Clerical Partner/Unit Clerk functions as a member of the health care team, performing clerical, receptionist, and related duties as directed in support of patient/resident centred care. The Clerical Partner/Unit Clerk demonstrates a commitment to the values, vision, goals, and objectives of the Region/facility/unit.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience providing clerical services in a health care setting would be an asset.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Grade 12 graduate, Manitoba Standards.
- Graduate of an approved Unit Clerk training program.

**Certification/Licensure/Registration**:
Not Applicable

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) and Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions).
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Regional, site and unit policies and procedures.
- Roles and responsibilities of members of the health care team.
- Knowledge of relevant Workplace Safety and Health responsibilities.
- General administrative and clerical skills and abilities required to perform all tasks and responsibilities relevant to the duties of the position.
- Ability to type accurately at 25 wpm.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Ability to recognize and pursue self-development opportunities.
- Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands and deal with interruptions.

Effective April 1, 2024, Golden West Centennial Lodge will also be part of the WRHA legal entity.
