Job Description Summary
- This position will assess and/or treat patients during outpatient telerehabilitation and inpatient rehabilitation programs as part of various multi-site clinical trials.

Organizational Status
- This position will work in stroke rehabilitation providing virtual and inpatient rehabilitation services to stroke patients. The position will report to Dr. Brodie Sakakibara.

Work Performed
- Assesses, treats and administers virtual and inpatient stroke rehabilitation programs (non-academic program) for people with stroke, as well as determining treatment plan.
- Progresses the clients on their functional/physical capabilities and social participation, and provides self-management support.
- Administer clinical outcome measures for data collection
- Participates in research team meetings.

Consequence of Error/Judgement
- Inappropriate patient treatment could result in patients and their families becoming frustrated, angry or seeking compensation.
- Inattention to paperwork detail (errors on forms) could jeopardize the results to multi-site clinical trials.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy services.
- Experiences working with people who have had a stroke is an asset. Must have prior experience in working and communicating with a multidisciplinary team.
