**Job Overview**:
Reporting to the Director of IT, the System Administrator is a member of the Operations / IT Team and is an integral part of the organization who influences our company culture. You will play a crucial part in managing and supporting our Cloud Application, Azure, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem, ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our systems. This position is responsible for providing advanced support for our IT Helpdesk and working with our Director of IT to create efficient processes. They also understand how their role can impact the overall employee engagement of the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administrating the maintenance and security of all IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
- Appropriately respond to security incidents generated from the endpoint, server, network, and cloud devices and tools.
- Work with the Director of IT on following then annual IT budget, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
- Manage asset inventory, procurement processes, and provider relationships to support the IT infrastructure.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Together with the Director of IT, ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain security protocols and measures to safeguard systems against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches.
- Develop and execute backup strategies to ensure data integrity and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures or emergencies.
- Serve as the point of contact for all IT-related vendors and service providers.
- Research vendor/service providers on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and user guides. Generate reports on system performance, issues, and solutions.

**Required Skills and Abilities**
- In-depth knowledge of system administration, network protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Superior listening and comprehension skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate into layman’s terms for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide clear and concise communications between the IT Department and ONE Insurance employees regarding technical changes, outages, maintenance, and new features.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze information quickly & accurately, exercise sound judgment & practical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner.
- Demonstrated initiative and proven ability to be resourceful & helpful to others.
- Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
- Strong demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem and a general proficiency with computers.
- Ability to manage change effectively to meet the needs of a growing brokerage.
- Continually seek to improve employee engagement, customer retention, sales, and profitability.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator (or similar position).
- A strong understanding of a wide range of technologies, systems, and software, as well as experience with IT architecture, infrastructure, security, and cloud technologies.
- Professional IT certifications (Ex - Microsoft product certifications)
- Must have one or more of the following exams: AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, AZ-104 Azure Administrator, MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, PL-100 Power Platform App Maker, MD-101 Microsoft Managing Modern Desktops.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python and PowerShell Scripts, knowledge of API, REST and SOAP, or familiarity with ARM Templates.
- Prior insurance experience, or working with Applied Systems, would be an asset.
- Must have a Manitoba Driver’s License and ability to travel to all ONE Insurance locations.
