About The Technical Onboarding team
We’re continuing to build out a team of passionate Microsoft Consultants. We are looking for a Microsoft Consultant to join our ranks, as we exponentially grow our customer base.

The Technical Onboarding team supports a wide array of customers who have purchased our services, as they onboard, configure and tune the products we support. We are responsible for owning the deployment of the service for those customers and assisting them in maturing their security posture with regards to their MDR and security investment. This role will primarily be for implementation of the eSentire Microsoft service which focuses on Microsoft Sentinel and the Microsoft Defender suite of products (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Office, and Defender for Cloud).

We are laser focused on providing our customers the best possible experience in onboarding into eSentire’s various services and providing the customers with an ongoing partnership in their security journey.

Who You Are
As a Microsoft Consultant on the Technical Onboarding Team, you will be responsible for getting customers setup and running on Microsoft Sentinel and/or the Microsoft Defender suite of products (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Office, and Defender for Cloud) and helping them maintain their security posture through ongoing assistance and support.

You are passionate about security in general but ultimately will be focused on helping our diverse customer base achieve their preferred security outcomes, by using your past experiences and knowledge to guide them. You can rapidly move from project to project and be able to keep track of the various moving parts of the deployment from start to finish.

You must have scale-up culture in your DNA and get energized by a low-ego, “all hands-on deck” environment. You care deeply about not only making your customers secure and successful, but also collaborating with your peers to ensure eSentire’s success. You are empathetic, enthusiastic and take risks - upping the game of the Blue Team. You are an eminently technical yet customer-focused individual.

What You Are Great At
Your top priority will be delivering support and assistance to your customers as they work through setting up our services for your customers. Your responsibilities will include that you:

- Provide technical expertise in the service you are working with to our customers
- Help the customer plan their deployment of our services
- Make recommendations to the customers on best practice in setting up the system, both by eSentire as well as industry standard practice
- Provide ongoing support to customers through our ticketing system
- Collaborate with Technical Onboarding peers, Customer Success, cross-functional teams, and senior leaders to ensure customers are successful
- Make recommendations and influence important operating issues/decisions for the broader team
- Find ways to streamline work, innovate key processes and leverage technology

What We Require
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working on customer projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft’s suite of security products
- Knowledge of security and compliance use cases
- Familiarity with common security and network devices and vendors a plus
- Superior customer relationship skills
- Knowledge of security principles governing technical environments
- Committed to providing exceptional customer service
- Strong aptitude for solving problems
- Ability to work under pressure and with conflicting priorities
- Patience and positivity. Ability to be focused during a growing and changing scale-up environment
